To Wuhan

The South is sinking, and the great river like
an electric current crossing in surge

The mud on lotus is sliding down the ladder
The shards of moonlight clinging to the rice paddies

Some people are dreaming, but not necessarily fall asleep
Birds find no food. The shadows of light and shade are sparse

and overlapping. Lonely pine. Thunder’s comb
The grasses are low, while the banks raised by smoke and fire

The pleasure of otolith keeps me awake
In a glass of water, the tower floats like a boat in reverse
