As the dry loess plateau is reluctant to turn green
With what can the surviving plants grow again?!
They are more eager to be bright than ever!
I still have unfinished writings, shivering
in this wretched long dead silence
How deep the depression! How unbearable the desolation!
What have you drawn? The bare trees pointing straight to the sky
Sad sharp wings rolling blades, paper and pen left idle on the desk
Spring comes, but where is the body of those days?
The way forward must have been deeply buried!

无用之诗
迟迟不肯泛青，干涸黄土坡地
幸存的花草，无以重返
它们比以往更渴望遍野的璀璨！
我尚有未竟的书写，瑟缩于
这惨烈绵长的死寂
抑郁多么深！凌空凄厉！
绘制了什么？！光秃秃的树木直指苍穹
悲伤的尖翼卷刃，案头空留纸笔
春天了，往昔的身体，都去了哪里
用以奔赴的道路已被深埋

Dong Qing, member of the Chinese Writers Association, member. She has published four collections of poems including “How old is the sea?”. Her poetry was selected into a variety of yearly anthologies. She has hosted the exhibition “The Poetry of Dongqing and the Image of Shanghai in the Light and Shadow of Photographers”. The book “The Selected Poems of Dongqing” and “How old is the sea?” won the annual work award of Shanghai Writers Association. Her poem was awarded the special prize of Chinese Poetry Website. In 2017, she won the 11th Shanghai Literature Award.
冬青，中国作家协会会员，上海作家协会理事。已出版诗集《大海究竟有多老》等四部。诗作收入多种年选和选集。曾举办《女诗人冬青的诗与摄影人光影里的上海映像》展览。诗集《冬青诗选》和《大海究竟有多老》分获上海作协年度作品奖。诗作曾获《中国诗歌网》暖家征文特等奖。2017 年获第十一届《上海文学》奖。
