Clean and clear language appears. On a white wall. Writing black fonts. Write down black Arabic numerals. Hour hands and minute hands. Language just shuttles in and out with the ticking of the syllables. I listened to each word with ears. The words step from 0 to midnight. And then walk back to early morning from 12. The sounds burrow from the opening of the previous word into the hole of the next word. Day and night. Keeping on surrounding. Speaking out.
I wait quietly under the wall. A moment when the clockwork stops. Several black letters gradually peel off from the wall. And penetrate into a clean and smooth piece of white paper. Like this. The occurrence of a poem presents itself.
书写的早晨
干净剔透的语言出现。在一道白色墙面。书写黑色的字体。写下黑色的阿拉伯数字。时针与分针。语言便穿梭其间并发出滴答滴答的音节。我侧耳倾听每一个字。从零步向午夜时分。再从十二走回凌晨。声音从前一个字的开口钻进下一个字的凹洞。日夜不停。环绕。发声。
我在墙下安静等待。某个发条停止的片刻。几个黑色字体逐渐从墙面剥落。渗入一张洁白光滑的纸。 就这样。开始。一首诗的发生。

Yao Shiqing is the editor-in-chief of Taiwan’s “Epoch Poetry Magazine” and a columnist for “China Daily”. She has been awarded a New Generation Poet Prize in Epoch and in “Taipei Poetry Festival”, the Huang Shi Literary Prize and other literary prizes, as well as creative writing scholarships from literary and art associations, etc. In 2016, she was shortlisted for the most anticipated writer of the year in the Eslite Reading Awards. Her poems have been selected into poetry anthologies from China, and the United States, and have been edited in university literature textbooks in Taiwan. Her poems have been translated into English, Spanish, Japanese, Filipino, etc. She is the author of “The Smell of Sun-Dried Love”, “Copying the City Wall”, “Time Difference of Reading”, “About us”, and the editor-in-chief of “Mirror Image: Selected Poems of Epoch 65”.
姚时晴，现为中国台湾地区《创世纪诗杂志》执行主编和《中华日报》专栏作家。曾获选创世纪新生代诗人、“台北诗歌节”新生代诗人、磺溪文学奖等文学奖项，以及文艺会创作奖助等。2016 年入围“诚品阅读职人大赏”年度最期待作家。诗作入选中国大陆及中国港台地区，以及美国诗选集，并被收录于中国台湾地区的大学文学教科书。作品被翻译成英语、西班牙语、日语、菲律宾语等。著有《晒干爱情的味道》《复写城墙》《阅读时差》《我们》。主编《镜像：创世纪 65 年诗选》。
