Born in Shanghai, now living in Shanghai, is a professor of Shanghai University. She has published seven poetry collections and a collection of essays. Some of her works have been translated into English, French, Japanese, Romanian, Vietnamese and other languages.

Some of her works have been translated into English, French, Japanese, Romanian, Vietnamese and other languages. Her poetry collection The Ghost Man was published by Coiscéim, an Irish publisher, in English, Chinese and Irish. In the autumn of 2000, the author was invited to participate in the "Sino-Norwegian Literature Seminar" in Oslo, Norway and visited Ireland. In September 2004 the author was invited to go to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the launch of her poetry collection The Ghost Man (held in the world-famous Trinity College Library), The author was also invited to give four poetry recitals in the Edmund Burke Theatre, Raidió Teilifís Éireann Dublin, Kerry and Dingle. Her works are featured in more than 200 Chinese and foreign poetry anthologies and a variety of dictionaries of literary appreciation. There are about 50 monographs on her poetry.
