Gao Hongbo
Pseudonym Xiang Chuan, children's literature, prose writer and poet. Born in December 1951, his birthplace is Kailu County, Inner Mongolia. As a member of the communist party of China, Gao Hongbo was a graduate of Lu Xun Literary Institute and graduate of First Writer Class, Peking University.

As a member of the communist party of China, Gao Hongbo was a graduate of Lu Xun Literary Institute and graduate of First Writer Class, Peking University. He was drafted into the army in 1969. After demobilization, he served as deputy director of the News Department "the Literary Post", deputy director of the general office of China Writers Association, deputy chief editor of "Chinese Writers", chief editor of "Poetry Journal", director of Founding Department of China Writers Association, chairman of Chinese Literature Foundation, member of China Writers Association's leading party group, vice chairman, secretary of the Secretariat, and member of the 12th CPPCC National Committee. Currently, he is vice chairman of China Writers' Association and director of China Writers' Association Children's Literature Committee. He began publishing works in 1971 and joined the Writers' Association in 1984. He has published more than twenty children's poetry collections, including "Elephant Judge", "Goose Goose Goose", "Crocodile Who Eats Stone", "Secret of Shouting Spring", "I Like You, Fox", etc.; more than thirty proses including "Persian Cat", "Drunk World", "Interesting Life Talks", "Selected Military Essays of Gao Hongbo", "Ink Interest and Ink Rhyme", etc.; more than twenty children's fairy tales such as "The Secret of Bird Stone", "Fishing Lights", "Meet Bubu Rabbit", "Happy Piggy Joey", etc.; "Fairy Tales Carried on Goose's Back-A Glimpse of Chinese and Foreign Children's Literature"and "Love Words for Muses" and other four review collections, as well as poetry collections "Heart Sail", "Glory of Poetry and Poem in Jiangnan". In July 2009, "Gao Hongbo's Collected Works" (eight volumes) and "Gao Hongbo's Literary Collections" (nine volumes) were published in 2018. His works have won such awards as National Outstanding Children's Literature Award, "Five One Projects Award", National Book Award, Zhuang Chongwen Literature Award, Bing Xin Award, Chen Bochui Award, China Children's Publishing House "Golden Writer" and so on. The picture book "Happy Piggy Joey" series have been included in the classic China International Publishing Project and won awards such as the China Publishing Government Award Nomination and Bingxin Children's Literature Award. Copyright has been exported to France, South Korea, Malaysia, and other countries.
